Crimson Star at the Houndstooth

Welcome to Crimson Star at the Houndstooth, our Tuscaloosa gameday condo. Completely renovated in 2025, it’s close to the University of Alabama campus, Bryant-Denny Stadium and Coleman Coliseum—a comfortable home base for game days, campus visits and weekends in Tuscaloosa. The two-bedroom, two-bath condo sleeps up to six guests.

Sleeping arrangements & workspace

Both bedrooms have king beds. The separate office has a queen sofa bed with a privacy curtain, providing a third sleeping area, not a third bedroom. Space is very limited when the bed is open. The office also includes a desk, chair and built-in USB-C monitor for your laptop; folding the bed away makes the workspace easier to use. It’s directly across the hall from the primary bathroom.

Bathrooms & storage

The spacious primary bathroom has a tub/shower combination, with access from the primary king bedroom and main hallway. A lockable connecting door provides bedroom privacy; hallway access lets office guests use the bathroom without entering the bedroom. The primary suite has a large walk-in closet, and the full-size washer and dryer are in the primary bathroom.

The second king bedroom has a private bathroom accessible only through that bedroom, also with a tub/shower combination, plus a standard closet.

Parking

• Two parking passes are provided for parking in the community lot. Spaces are unassigned, and each vehicle must display a pass.

Location

Bryant-Denny Stadium is about a 15–20 minute walk away. Allow extra time on game days for crowds and to reach your stadium entrance.

Accessibility & sound

The condo is on the second floor. The building is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator. The condo’s bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible; both have tub/shower combinations.

A little local heads-up: trains are part of the Tuscaloosa soundtrack, and you’ll hear them at the condo. We provide bedside sound machines in every sleeping area. If train noise would spoil your stay, please keep that in mind before booking.

Security & privacy

A Ring doorbell camera is outside the front door. There are no cameras inside the condo or on either patio. Smoke detectors, a sprinkler system and an interior hotel-style door-security latch are provided.

Good to know

Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout at 11 a.m. Central.

Smoking and pets are not allowed. Checkout is simple: gather your belongings, return the permits and keys, and lock up. There is no need to strip beds or take out the trash. Your guest guide has arrival directions, parking instructions and practical stay details.
